I took my first acting class at Vassar College, where I was studying philosophy and physics. For a kid wondering how to blend academics with a creative urge, it sure opened new paths!
The spark was there, but my interest in language and story first led me to pursue writing, and I started as a newspaper journalist. Acting proved the stronger pull — I moved to New York, trained in theater, dance and singing, worked in stage, film, television and print, and earned my union memberships.
I love the voiceover community, and keep my skills sharp with top coaches, peer workouts, and improv groups. I live with my wife and son in the Chicago area, and in my personal time enjoy movies, literature, skiing, sailing, tennis – and family fun.
